You can order your repeat prescriptions with our pharmacy through the NHS App. It can be downloaded via google play store or the apple app store. Or you can place an order using your browser.
You can also book surgery appointments and access your health information.
How to order using the NHS App
Download & log in
Get the NHS App on your smartphone or use the web version. Verify your identity if prompted and log in.
Nominate Ross Pharmacy
In Prescriptions → Your nominated pharmacy, select Ross Pharmacy so your prescriptions are sent to us electronically (EPS).
Request your repeats
Choose the items you need and submit the request. We’ll text you when it’s ready—or arrange delivery if you’ve asked for it.

How to order a prescription using the NHS App
Make sure you’ve nominated us
Nomination ensures your GP sends prescriptions straight to us with the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS). You can change or remove your nomination at any time.
- Open the NHS App and go to Prescriptions.
- Select Your nominated pharmacy.
- Search for and choose Ross Pharmacy.
If you need help nominating us, we can set this up in‑store or over the phone.

Text alerts & delivery
We’ll send you an SMS when your prescription is ready to collect. If you’d prefer delivery, just let us know—charges may apply depending on eligibility and distance.
- Standard delivery: Next available slot
- Priority delivery: For urgent clinical needs (subject to assessment)

Other ways to order (if you can’t use the NHS App)
Through your GP’s online service
Most GP surgeries offer online repeat ordering via their website. Ensure your nomination is set to Sharmans Pharmacy so it still arrives electronically.
In person or by phone
Visit us or call to discuss options. We can help set up the NHS App, EPS nomination, and delivery preferences.

How long will my prescription take?
Once the GP approves your request, it’s sent to us electronically. We’ll text you when it’s ready. Timing can vary—please allow a few working days, especially during busy periods.
Why use the NHS App to order prescription?
Using the NHS app to order repeat prescriptions is highly convenient, as the whole process is electronic. Your request is sent directly to your GP, who can authorise it quickly and securely. Once approved, the prescription is sent electronically to your nominated pharmacy, with no need for phone calls or emails.
Can I track my prescription?
Yes—within the NHS App you can see the status of your requests. We’ll also notify you by SMS when your medicine is ready for collection or delivery.
What if an item is out of stock?
If an item is temporarily unavailable, our team may contact your GP to discuss safe alternatives or advise you of the expected restock date.
Do I need a paper prescription?
No. With EPS your prescription is sent straight to us electronically when you’ve nominated Sharmans Pharmacy.
